I mean let’s just assume that everyone’s going to … Do we all freak out when someone signs up for Facebook? … Having a web site or a blog… all the celebrities have a web site. Maybe they’re not updating it much themselves, but it’s just assumed that they have an official place. Let’s just assume that everyone’s going to get a Twitter account and we can all go back to sending each other files of cats running into walls.”

“It’s now becoming apparent to the auto companies that they had too much capacity. That they don’t need to produce 16M vehicles a year, that 12M will do. Retailers now… it’s quite clear… that once they see that people cannot borrow money to buy stuff anymore, they have too many stores and too much inventory. And so you go through the entire economy. Almost every sector is too big: there’re too many home building companies, there’s too many newspapers, there’s too many alot of things. Everything has to shrink. And that’s not just because they can’t get credit, it’s because the economy got too big on the basis of thinking that people had all that money to spend when really that was borrowed money, and that borrowed money has now dried up.”
